Sharing some New Year Inspirations…

I have to admit that I am not feeling very inspired now we are in the UK on a visit. It has been almost a year. I am feeling sunshine deprivation. The incessant rain and grey skies depress me. I feel more alien here than ever before and I dearly miss Portugal. But, as I sit in the back of our beloved van writing this – I know this is just part of the journey.

“New Year’s eve is like every other night; there is no pause in the march of the universe, no breathless moment of silence among created things that the passage of another twelve months may be noted; and yet no man has quite the same thoughts this evening that come with the coming of darkness on other nights.”

Hamilton Wright Mabie

Being a natural time of year for inner reflection, I have been doing a lot of journalling, reading and discovering whilst travelling over 1000 miles to get here. I have found some wonderful inspiration in the shape of Vision Quests, an On-Line Retreat, as well as finding some new-to-me blogs and some stirring, restorative material to read. All good stuff and I share a couple of my favourite things here.

Artist Shiloh Sophia asks ‘What would happen if you allowed your muse to design your year?’  and then takes you on a vision quest using a medicine wheel and some journalling. I loved this ritual and the idea of leading from My Muse – who of course, had plenty to say to me!

Also, Amber Kuileimailani Bonnici is running a free On-Line Retreat called Woman Unleashed. This is available until the end of the month and has lots of interviews with some very inspiriting women. I’ve not had time to listen to them all yet but I did the last one in the summer and found it wonderfully uplifting.

I could share more but I am still reading, processing and integrating so they will have to wait for another day… Feel free to share anything which is inspiring you at the moment and let me know your thoughts if you check out either Shiloh or Amber.

To finish, I leave you with this… Xx
