Day 18… A bike ride, paella and how James and I met!

IMG_0160

We cycled to the nearest village today to go to the supermarket. It’s not too far, about half an hour there and half back. We wanted to pick up edible and drinkable gifts for our spanish neighbours. Tomorrow we have been invited over again and didn’t want to show up empty handed. Especially after the amazing paella! Anyone that knows me knows I’m not that confident on a bicycle but I did my best and got a few pushes on the uphills from James! Well, also I walked up the last hill up to our house as it’s pretty steep…

Day 17… A photo post of a day out in Valencia!

IMG_0152

Today a photo blog of our day out in Valencia as I am too tired to write much. Our main mission was to get to the apple shop and see a genius! Luckily all is good and James will get a free repair. They are the best kind… The photo below is the apple store. It had a whole upstairs floor designated as the genius bar. Valencia was sunny, beautiful and and had lots of charm. They are preparing for a very big festival next week called Las Falles (more to come later on this) so we saw some…

Day 16… How writing everyday makes me feel vulnerable and a few pictures from our walk…

IMG_0117

This is my little cosy nest today for a good rest and a bit of writing. I didn’t have a great night, I won’t lie, but I am much better today. A big thank you for all the lovely comments and messages I got since yesterday’s post. When I got up this morning and read them all I felt very overwhelmed by the love coming in. Thanks and much loves back. xxx Writing a post everyday means I am revealing details that I have not shared on here before. It’s not the same as my usual ‘now and again’ posts….

Day 15… Honestly, I just don’t feel well at all today…

IMG_0003

This photograph was taken in Italy last year but it completely describes how I’m feeling today. I don’t feel like talking and I don’t feel very well at all! I have made a commitment though to my blog, and wanted to write something, just to honour it. And, also, I’d like what I write here to be authentic, not just the ‘happy’ stuff. Life is all about balance and duality. We are surely all familiar with this… I am listening to what I need. To slow my day right down, go gentle on myself and nurture, nurture, nurture. On days…

Day 14… self love, food allergies and a jumble of rambling thoughts…

IMG_0092

I warn you my thoughts are a bit all over the place today. And I feel poorly. I have a bad stomach and a strange rash and we hardly slept last night because the wind here gets really crazy. BUT, I am happy and I have been painting today for the first time in ages. I am sitting writing in our van. I am comfortable and cosy even amongst the ‘unfinishedness’ of it all! We have everything we need and more. I am thinking about how the final finish will look. How I can paint flowers on everything, hang up…

Day 13… a day of disasters and soup!

IMG_0086

If your mac dies, and you are a digital nomad… it can spell out a disaster. But, luckily James has the ultimate tech kit and knowledge, and, the use of my mac! While we have been travelling and homeless and mostly abroad I have actually dropped my laptop on a marble floor and whilst it did sustain three corner dents it was/is FINE! James on the other hand had a camera lens disaster in Athens, push-bike problems, dropped and smashed up his iphone in Italy and suffered the absolute lap-top DEATH in Crete! Having learned on our previous travels we…

Day 12… Valencian oranges, moon centres and maca!

IMG_0070

I couldn’t share of photo as my camera just couldn’t pick it up, but the moon last night took my breath away. It was a tiny waxing crescent, really bright and the angle of a smile. We could clearly make out the earth’s shadow too… a magical moon! I love the moon (as well as the sun) and have been recording for a while now how it links to my feminine cycles. I have also been mapping my moon centres according to ancient Kundalini Yoga and it is very interesting how once you discover your pattern, it recurs. It’s definitely…

Day 11… My day turned out even better because I didn’t pay any attention to my plans!

IMG_0059

Do you ever have mornings where you wake up and are full of energy and feel the momentum of getting everything achieved only to find it fizzles out before you have even started? Today I had planned my day but it turned out completely different. I had a few ‘to do’s’ on my list and got NONE of them done! I didn’t go into the local village to do some shopping, I didn’t start my drawing practise, I didn’t even wash my hair. And all the while I was thinking about what I should do, all I wanted to do, was…
